Chile se uni\u00f3 al proyecto GEM en 2002, por lo que desde esa fecha \u2013con excepci\u00f3n del a\u00f1o 2004- hay mediciones consistentes sobre el desarrollo del emprendimiento en el pa\u00eds, lo que permite hacer estudios y comparar los resultados de las pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas orientadas a promoverlo.<\/p>\n

Actualmente el proyecto es liderado por la Universidad del Desarrollo, a la que se le han ido sumando universidades regionales, conformando uno de los grupos de investigaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s activos en torno al fen\u00f3meno del emprendimiento.<\/p>\n
